Hey there Creative friends! I’m back on the blog today with some more Scrappy inspiration. For today’s share, I’ve been super inspired by the amazing pages the Design Team has been creating with black cut files and thought I’d give one a go. I’m working with a Black and White photo and the ‘More than Words’ collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I decided to feature our ‘Diamonds‘ cut file cut nice and large as a background feature for my page. I’ve also kept the inner parts of the design raising them up on foam tape for dimension. I’ve teamed the black and white in my layout with pastels for a softer look.

Here you can see the detail of the cut file on my page.

Once my background was positioned, I’ve added my photo on the right also on foam tape and then my title on the left. I’ve added a sprinkling of die cut ephemera, including some sweet yellow florals and some fussy cut butterflies. With a bold cut file like this one, the layout did not need too many added details.

Lastly, I’ve dug into my stash and found some Pink Puffy hearts, these from American Crafts. The pink is the perfect match to my background and I just love the little pop of colour they add.

I’ve also made a YouTube video with more details about this layout which you can watch here:
