Scrapbook Expo

Well, what a day I had yesterday at the Brisbane Scrapbook Expo! My feet are killing me but it was sooo worth it. I met Susan Longman over a bucket of Glimmer mist, had a great chat with the girls from Kaiser, did a class with Ngaire Bartlam and did a little bargain hunting with great results. I also checked out the new Big Shot by Sizzix. I already have a Making Memories Slice Machine so I’m not convinced I need one of these, but it is very cool and will cut chip which my slice can’t do. I’ve had some time today to put together this layout and strangely enough, it is all from my stash, that is, nothing new from the expo (can you believe that!!). For me it was more about getting inspired and checking out some new techniques and products. Now it doesn’t have a title or journaling which I’m really not sure about, but they say a picture says a thousand words and this is right up there with my fav photo of all time (big call I know!) So… at least for now I’ve let it speak for itself.

Lazy Sunday

I do love a quite Sunday afternoon and the chance to do a little scrapping and checking out some techniques on youtube. I usually get side tracked when on youtube but today I have managed to stay focussed and finish this layout. I saw this cute bird pattern paper by Three Bugs in a Rug and it really was the inspiration for the page, not only for the cute title, but also for the colour combo, who said Blue and Green should NEVER be seen!

Phew! Hours to spare….

Well, it’s done, my Kaiser DT Application is now complete!!! OMG, Cindy at Kaiser Robina told me about it last Saturday (only 8 days ago) and I knew it would be a super challenge time wise but I’m soo glad to say I made it, with hours to go!! eeeekkk!! I’ve put together some snippits of my application for you and I sooo hope they like it! Either way, I am super proud of it….. fingers crossed!!

One Perfect Day

Well, as anticipated another layout from that gorgeous day at the beach. I did a lot with the Glimmer mist for this one with the sweetest “vintage pink” colour. My latest fav buy. I also just have to mention that my darling husband bought me a couple of new shelves for my scrap space for Mother’s day and I’ve been busy reorganising my stash. I know it’s just a shelf, but it means way more than that as I’ve been scrapping in our formal dining room and slowly (by stealth) changing it into a scrap space. The shelf is a symbol, it’s a sign that it really isn’t a dining room anymore, but my scrap room….. He’s such a good egg!!

Oh Happy Day

Last weekend we took Sam and Caitlin to the beach. On the way out the door I (on a whim) grabbed the camera. It was a good thing I did as we came home with over 200 photos!! It was great as we even got some of Chris and I which is a rare thing! So, here are the first of these, Caitlin having an absolute ball making “Sand Cakes” Also wanted to mention that this layout design is my take on Annas Craft Cupboard’s monthly challenge.
