Kaiser Super Scrap

Well, it’s been a busy weekend but I did get a chance to finish off 2 of the projects I started at the Kaiser Super Scrap. I really love the quote book and am thinking these could be very handy as handmade x-mas pressies. For the layout of Chris I used a similar design to the Goggle Girl layout I did of Caitlin. Love this. AND the Shaken not Stirred range is really cool for boy layouts. I’ve also done a heap of organising of my layouts. I bought a couple of D ring albums and have now sorted all layouts into 2 categories (so far). 1. Caitlin – divided into years and 2. Family – divided into years. I figured this way I could record the important events for our family each year, rather than doing say an album of holidays, birthdays, x-mas/Easter, etc etc. I love that I will be able to pull out one album and view all of the events that occurred in that year. It may get to a point though where I need more than one album per year, but this system does allow for that. I feel really good about getting this organising done and it has shown me which years I need to focus on recording and what’s been missed.

Kaiser

Well the new month is here and tomorrow is the Kaisercraft Robina “Super Scrap Saturday”!! 9 hours of scrapping fun…woo hoo… Chris is looking after Caitlin and the big girls while I’ll be scrappin my heart out. I’ll be sure to post my work too! I’ve also recently finished this months sketch for Anna’s which I’ve posted… I’m actually not too keen on this one, I think the colours match the photos but it didn’t really work out how I wanted – I think there is too much pattern paper maybe?? Not sure, but I think I will reprint the pics and retry this one. Since my last post I’ve also made a couple of cards and plan to do more of this just to use up my scrap paper. I did make Easter cards for the Kindy teachers and was quite surprised at the response I got – seems a little personal touch goes a long way!!

Happy Days

Oh Happy Day!! I’m being published again!! wooo hoo… I’ve basically been submitting EVERYTHING and my persistence has paid off… can’t show you the layout though! I’ve been tracking my results so far this year and it’s currently running at 18% -can you believe that?!? – AND there is a stack outstanding too, soo I’m hoping there will be more yeses to come!!

Groundhog week

It’s been one of those weeks!! Seriously, I’ve been working on the same layout for over a week now and it just won’t come together…eeek.. Driving me quite crazy but you know what… it’s not going to beat me!! I did however, put it aside for a bit and went on with something much more familiar, pretty and pink 🙂 Using new CHA release by Sassafras Lass and some SUPER old chipboard letters by Lil Davis, don’t know why it’s taken so long for me to use them, their cute! Back to the original layout now, I think I can.. I think I can…..
