Groundhog week

It’s been one of those weeks!! Seriously, I’ve been working on the same layout for over a week now and it just won’t come together…eeek.. Driving me quite crazy but you know what… it’s not going to beat me!! I did however, put it aside for a bit and went on with something much more familiar, pretty and pink 🙂 Using new CHA release by Sassafras Lass and some SUPER old chipboard letters by Lil Davis, don’t know why it’s taken so long for me to use them, their cute! Back to the original layout now, I think I can.. I think I can…..

A Mummy’s Work

Another week has passed and I’m happy to say it’s my regular Friday frenzy night!! A night of sitting up late scrapping and checking out techniques and products on the web.. AND adding to my blog some of my latest creations. This one has been created for Annas Craft Cupboards monthly sketch and I loved it so much I actually used it for another layout this week. I’ll post both so you can check them out.

Rainy Sat afternoon

Well… it’s been raining pretty much all day today and I’m resting up from a bout of Whooping cough – can you believe it!! I’ve been sick for the last month and the doctor assures me I’ll be on the mend in a few more weeks. Anyway, least it’s good resting weather and I’ve managed to do 2 new layouts both of which used up a considerable amount of my stash. I’ve ordered a heap of new CHA stuff from Anna’s Craft Cupboard and it’s due any day – can’t wait!! Will definately have to remind myself of the new year’s resolution to use at least one piece of old stuff in every layout 🙂

Goals for 2010

Ok, as promised, here are my top 5 scrapping goals for 2010…
1. Finish the “book of me”. Whilst I’ve made an ok start last year, this year it will be completed and I plan to make the remaining pages a lot more personal than the previous ones. The idea is that in years to come Caitlin can read through it and get a real idea of the person I am at this time in my life.
2. Focus more on being published than previous years. In the past I have been published however I have not been consistently submitting, so, this year, I’m making like Michael Jordon and submitting, submitting, submitting and hopefully that’ll see me score!
3. Submit to at least one challenge gallery every month – they are fun and they make me a better scrapper. I really am enjoying the challenge they bring. I also love the inspiration others give me in their interpretation of the layouts!!
4. Use up my stash! Use at least one older piece of my stash on every layout – a blend of old and new is the way to go to use up my stuff whilst keeping my layouts fresh.
5. Give Scrapbooking Masters a good go this year, last year I made a feeble attempt and to be honest got a feeble result…. 2008 I made top 50! This year, I’m pulling out all the stops and going for it, least if I fail, I know I’ve given it all.
