Little Miss Manor House Flowers

Well hello there,

Here today with a quick share – I have been so so busy lately!! I have a feeling it is going to get worse with Christmas not too far away; least I can officially say now that I have started the shopping 🙂

Anyways, back onto why I’m here, A new layout of mine featuring Manor House flowers and The Scrap Cake papers. I thought I’d do a little mixing and matching with the paper ranges (which I do love to do); I’ve used Sweet Childhood and Summer City which is that wonderfully blue turquoise paper… yummy!

All beautiful Manor House flowers and some Purple Pumpkin twine…

thanks for taking the time to pop by today.

Guess who’s this months Guest Designer at Orange Paperie??

Huge hello today,

Super exciting news to share, I’m November’s guest designer for Orange Paperie and Co!!  So happy to be part of the “Co” – such a FAB bunch of ladies.
Ok, so, Kim has set the challenge and this month it is the base of your project… all you need to do is start with this as your base layer.

and here is my layout… I spent a lot of time with the base creating the circles with Gesso and then sewing around them… lots of mist and some water pencils and then built the layout from there.  LOVE this photo of Caitlin, totally unprompted and a heap of fun!

and close ups…

and I also got to share my craft space… it is not this tidy that often so I thought I would also include it here…

Caitlin sits there on the left next to my sewing machine and I sit opposite her.  There is also more IKEA storage behind me which you can’t see.
So, I hope you all get the chance to play along this month, I have a feeling we are going to see a heap of interesting takes on this challenge 🙂

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hi there everyone,

Did you know that October is National Breast Cancer awareness Month?  It’s a month that I have always supported but this year it has meant a lot more … Some of you will know that my Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in September of this year – she had her surgery a few weeks ago and will begin radiation therapy this week.   For me, breast cancer was something that happened to “other people” and I have (in a very real way) recently discovered just how many women are affected by this disease.  I feel so blessed that my mum’s cancer was picked up at an early stage and am hopeful that this will mean she can call herself a cancer survivor!!  I urge you all to go and see your doctor and ask about Breast Cancer and get your checks done, they could save your life!

So, with that being said, I am so glad to be joining with Craft Queen to help spread the word about Breast Cancer by hosting this giveaway.

Craft Queen have very generously donated this wonderful pack of  ribbon which you can win!

All divine aren’t they!?

I have also got into the spirit of it all and created these 2 “pink” cards which you will also receive.  Full of Craft Queen ribbon, Prima and Manor House flowers.

All you need to do is comment on this post or the Craft Queen blog  to be in the draw to win.  If you comment on both blogs, you will get 2 entries!
If you could please also help me to spread the word to raise Breast Cancer awareness by sharing this giveaway with a friend that would be wonderful too!
thanks and good luck!
