May sketch for Scrap Friends

Hi there,
Did you know that Scrap Friends has 2 challenges per month?  A sketch challenge – check it out below AND a Yammy challenge (more on this in a few weeks).
First up is the sketch challenge…  You need to create a layout and entries need to be in by the 14th of the month.
Here is the sketch to use…
I rotated it so the strip was on the bottom.  Close ups first… I have a few this time!
and now the full layout.  Just love the colours and with the sketch to guide me this one came together so well.
One of the few shots I have of Easter this year – Caitlin just loves finding eggs!
Full list of products used can be found on the blog as well as the other DT samples at Scrap Friends.
Be sure to check them all out, they are AMAZING!!! I hope you can play along too.

New Month, New challenge at Craft Queen

Another month has flown by and we have a fab new challenge at Craft Queen.
This month the criteria is the word “Today”, kraft paper and distressing.  Oh yes, and of course you need to use at least one CQ product – that bit is easy with so many yummies to choose from.

Loved this challenge!!!  OK, Close ups first…

Just love this colour combo….even if I do say so myself,  Timeless…
The rest of the DT have come up with some AMAZING layouts and cards, be sure to check them out here.
Winner gets a $30 ribbon pack of their choice and you have to be in it to win it, so what are you waiting for??

Signing off for Bird is the Word

Hello again,

Well, this is my last DT layout for BITW and this fortnights challenge word is Look/See. I had some fun with this one as it seemed to me that these words could in fact be on a layout about almost anything!!

With Easter photos on the top of my pile, I went with this…
I wonder where she gets her love of chocolate from… hmmm
and some close ups….
Chipboard is Scrapmatts and Can you see that lil Purple Pumpkin button peeking through there (on the left)…. these make fabulous flower centres.
and another purple pumpkin button in the lower cluster.  Paper flowers are Scrap Friends and the lace ones are Handmade Halo – divine aren’t they?
I had such a blast creating for Bird is the Word so it’s not goodbye, just “see you around”.
I hope you get the chance to play along this fortnight.

Also, if are an Aussie who has been living under a rock, you may not know about the June Scrapbook Expo.  It’s the best best best scrapbook show of the year and I have been working on a heap of stuff for that.  Some of my work will be on display at the show.  Be sure to check out the web site for the Expo, Tim Holtz will be there and it’s big, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing some of my online buddies there!  So, let me know if you are going!!
That’s it for today – hope you all had a chance to create over the weekend.
