Love this Gal – a layout just because..

Soo nice to do some more creating this week.  This photo was taken on a trip to Melbourne in February with my bestie Kim.  We had a blast that weekend, eating, shopping and more eating!

Now, you are not going to believe this, but this layout was inspired by this challenge below (although I did not end up entering it).  I was trying to select papers to match the colours and I just couldn’t make it work with my style with the papers I had on hand… SO.. I changed the light blue for the Denim/dark blue,the orange became the shade of pink/melon and the green turned into a more blue green than a yellow green to match my dark blue.  I also did add the yellow but by that stage I realised it wasn’t quite going to fit the criteria of the challenge and really liked how it popped!
So whilst I couldn’t enter it in the challenge, I am really happy with how it turned out and I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have put these papers together without it!

Look Who’s Turning 7

Well, almost 8 actually, so it’s time I did the layout for last years birthday!

Hi everyone,

Here today to share a little layout I finished off over the weekend.  This one was for the Dlish scraps monthly challenge.

I just loved this colour palette so I ran with that and I did “loosely” follow the sketch too.  I did use their “Just add paper kit” for the month too (well most of it) which kept things simple 🙂

2 layouts in 1 week = Happy dance

Well hello there,

This is what I love about crops, in particular Cyber ones.  I can scrap in my space with all of my things AND with the challenges, I’m motivated to actually create!

This was the second challenge for the crop I’ve done – I usually use tags but I have so many I thought it might be a good idea to use up a couple.

 Here is my layout, I’ve used 2 in the background/paper layers and then I found these cute letter tags so I’ve used them too.  I love love love the photos in this one, Chris took them…  having a pro photographer in the family does come in very handy for a scrap booker!!

I love these little Dlish bows… in the sweetest green and pink!

A new look for "About A Girl" and a challenge

Hi there everyone!

Well, notice anything different?  Yup, I have finally taken some time out to revamp my blog and I am super happy with its new clean look 🙂

Lots to share today starting with a couple of layouts I did at the My 2 Angels retreat recently.  It was so nice to get out of the house for a day and meet some of the lovely ladies I have been stalking online 🙂  All super sweet and oh so talented!!

I have also had some time today to create!  This is for a challenge over at the Scrap Suite for Dlish scraps cyber crop – what a wonderful bunch of ladies they have there, really, they are so fun!

I’ve used lots of Dlish goodies here, the sequin bow, the enamel dots and flair and those cute little kraft love hearts.  I have used the number 3 and lots of shapes, squares, rectangles, circles and hearts.

Hoping to get at least one more challenge done this weekend, just not sure which one to choose!

Dlish Scraps 5th Birthday Cybercrop – Challenge No 7

Here today to share my last challenge entry, as soon as I saw Wendy’s layout I knew I had to give this one a go.  Normally NOT my colours but I knew I had the perfect photo so jumped on in 🙂
