A little bit Vintage – Purple Pumpkin share

Well hello there,

A quick little post today to share a couple of projects I have created recently using Purple Pumpkin goodies.

See the cute lil pattern button sneaking out from my flower cluster?  It was the perfect touch for my layout…  AND, that delicious peach beauty, that is a Manor House stunner!!

A couple more close ups…
and here is it the full version…. Caitlin as a flower girl at my Nieces wedding.  She had the best day….and yes, that is me too in the pic 🙂  Chris took these photos, clever isn’t he!
Flowers are Manor House and Kaiser.  I have just dipped in Gesso.  The banner and butterflies are ‘A Lil Something’ which I have inked and sprayed with glimmer mist for some sparkle.
I have also created these 2 cards, featuring the sweet little bird buttons and Craft Queen ribbon, how stunning is this!
Thanks for popping by, be back soon!

Yummy Scrap Colour Pallet #3 at Scrap Friends

Time for a new Yummy Scrap pallet over at Scrap Friends and this one is a stunner!!
I couldn’t resist creating 2 for this one, such soft pretty colours; right up my alley!!
First up is my 2nd ever canvas!! (some of you will remember the one I did for a friend who recently had a baby – I think this one is way better so will have to make her another one!!).  I wanted to create a pale version of the pallet, something very neutral and soft.   This one is for me and is already proudly on display in my craft space – my room is coming along now and I really should take some pics for you all!!
and the second project was a layout of me… I’ve been doing a few of these lately – the colour version is more vibrant but still nice and soft AND, my first project photographed with my new light box…fancy aren’t I!!!  (I’m very happy with the set up by the way so lots of close ups)
I will also be doing a step by step over on the Scrap Friends blog soon to show you how I created this one so be sure to stalk the blog! hehehe
Hope you all get the chance to play along… I do love seeing what you all create when I pop by your blogs!

Purple Pumpkin Share

Brrrrr!! Super cold here on the Sunny Gold Coast this morning, I think I’ll have to type a lot to keep my fingers warm!!

A quick share today of some yummy Purple Pumpkin inspiration up on the blog.

Close ups first…
Just love the shade of Pink in this kit…

and how cute is that lil owl and the satin lollipop flower – yummo!!
I have used the fab Owl kit from the last sale, love love love the combo of the pink and green.  I teamed it with some warm browns and neutrals from my stash and I was done.  I love kits for this very reason!!
This photo was taken at Southbank in January this year.  You all will remember in January of 2011 Brisbane city, and much of Queensland for that matter, flooded.  So, earlier this year we decided to take a trip up to Brisbane to see how the city was recovering one year later.  It was great to get out of the house, support some local businesses doing it tough and take a stack of nice shots.
Thanks for popping by today, hope you all have a great day!

July sketch for Purple Pumpkin

Hi Everyone,
Well the July sketch is up now over at Purple Pumpkin and today I thought I’d share what I created.
First the sketch…
and then close ups, lots of bits and pieces here.  The fabric round flower is Purple Pumpkin and I’ve mixed up the button in the centre with a pretty blue one I found at Spotlight in a bargain bin.  I just love digging in that place!!
The felt flowers I made with a new die I have by Memory Box, you can pick these up at Scrap Friends (This one is Pinwheel Posie) and the flowers are Manor house and A Lil Somethin.
See the cute lil kite in the back ground… teamed with Purple Pumpkin twine.
A purple pumpkin bee button…  there is also a cute lil bunny button which you will see on the full layout.
Just to show you the layers…. I just love dimension!
and now the full layout…
and something different, hand cut photos… she was such a cutie this day… Easter Sunday at Nanna’s house and she was playing the Easter Bunny!!!
Thanks for popping by today, I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!!
