Hi Everyone,

Seems my post about Mum’s ribbon inspired a lot of chat and emails regarding my scrap space and organisation ideas; you are all keen to see how I keep things sorted. So I thought I’d post a pic of just one small part of my scrap space. It is actually our formal dining room, however we stopped having formal dinner parties in it long ago and I have slowly taken it over. We still have all the furniture so I’ve had to work around it. I scrap on the dining table which is in the centre of the room and I bought this Expedit from IKEA and it sort of acts as a room divider (the other end of the room is our formal sitting room which is now Caitlin’s play area.) Everything is sorted by colour as I find I work best that way. The lil jars have all my small bits and pieces in them and the larger ones are all flowers. Colours are Pink, Browns, Yellows, Blue/Green, Red, Black/White/Metal and Purple. The draws are punches and other bits which I’ll show you some other time… I’m thinking it could take a while to show you everything so I’ll do it bit by bit. That way the whole room doesn’t need to be perfect either, which it RARELY is!!

Now, onto the RAK. I’m a big fan of paying things forward and as I have been blessed with the stack of ribbon Mum gave me, I’m RAKing some of it (is that the term???) onto one of you…

All you have to do is be a “follower” AND post me a comment on what you love about my Blog and that’s it! I will then draw a winner out of a hat 🙂 There is around a metre of each of these ribbons and I’ll post them anywhere.

Hi Everyone,

I’m very new to Purple Pumpkin, but when I heard they were having a Guest DT call out I could not help but give it a go! They have the cutest lil buttons and things… all so unique! All you have to do is post your favourite layout. I really wanted to choose one with Purple Pumpkin embellies on it (makes sense) but I only have 2 and I’m not all that keen on the first one and the 2nd one is submitted into the July sketch challenge!! So, here is my ACTUAL all time fav layout – it does not include any pp embellies, but it is my fav and was done in 2009 and I still love it!

I hope you all like it and if so, please feel free to lodge a vote for me!! 🙂

Hi Everyone,

What a cold and rainy Saturday we are having, I guess all those perfect Winter days had to end some time 🙂 Caitlin went back to Ballet this morning and it was a lil hard to get up!! I’ve had some time today to do the Purple Pumpkin sketch for this month and I made sure to have it uploaded before 22nd July so I can grab some FREE buttons with my next order… happy days!

So here is my take…

and some close ups of course of the cute lil purple pumpkin embellies…. The grey is not as dark as it appears in these pics; the weather is not the best for snaps of layouts!!!

Now, I think it’s time for another tidy up of my scrap space, I cannot see my table!!

Happy Sunday to you all… Seems this is my only real chance each week to blog, but hey it’s better than nothing!

Bird is the word challenge is up again and this time it’s “Admire” which I really struggled with for some reason!! I guess that’s why it called a challenge and they cannot all be too easy!!

I’ve taken the day off tomorrow to spend with Caitlin – lets hope the weather stays as stunning as it’s been the past few days 🙂 We are going up to see Nanna which usually means a trip to IKEA.. Wooo hooo!

I have a couple of things tonight to tell you about….

First up…Purple pumpkin are having a HUGE GIVEAWAY to celebrate their first birthday!! If you haven’t seen Purple Pumpkins goodies before, they are definitely worth checking out… super cute lil buttons and stuff!!! Check it all out here…..

Secondly, a couple of layouts to show you… I’ve been playing around with using up some of my old stash and trying out some new ways to use my alphas, mainly as backgrounds etc. I got a heap done AND some DT work too!

The background for this one is rub ons; not sure if you can tell that well, perhaps I should have done a close up!! I’ve had these for AGES and never used a single one. So I worked on using all the letters I don’t normally use like X and Y etc. I have decided that I am not a huge fan of the rub on 🙁

For this one, I’ve lined up the letter B’s in a row so they don’t look like B’s any more but more like a chipboard strip/pattern 🙂 The ribbon is Making Memories which I’ve had forever! I’ve also used some white larger letters as a stencil for the background. I made sure to “un-sticky” them first so that I could easily pull them off after I had painted over them.

More playing with the background… and a boy layout.. I know it’s still has flowers but it’s as boyish as I get!!
